A call to serve others.
A deep-rooted Texan born in Amarillo, raised in Abilene with various roots stretching to the Dallas/Fort Worth Area, San Antonio and now Houston. I ventured to Boca Raton, Florida but my heart brought me back to Texas. They say you can take the boy out of Texas but never the Texas out of the boy! It is so true; because I returned to Texas as fast as I could.
I grew up watching my parents and other family members in Abilene, Texas. I witnessed them put in hard work, day in and day out. The common denominator among all my family members has always been their tenacity, hard work and passion to serve others. They were inspiring me every day to do the same, they just didn’t know it.
Great memories were made at Abilene High School where I was blessed with a football scholarship to play for Abilene Christian University as a tight end and 4-year starter. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Management. Of course, every little boy’s dream is to play in the National Football League (NFL). But that was not the path chosen for me. Football taught me the values of team, dedication, loyalty, responsibility and to serve others for the common good. That thought spun my goals towards a more impactful career of serving others.
Hospitality can be defined as “the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, generous, friendly way”. The Greek word Hospitality literally means “love of strangers”. My experience in the luxury hospitality world became a people-oriented passion. Those who know me, knew that serving was my passion. After watching my family serve others daily, I decided to make it my life’s mission, too! Love People. Change the World.
After graduating from college, I worked for Club Sports International. It was there I received my first experience in luxury, high-end fitness country clubs. I was fortunate to be taught by a seasoned business mentor. He focused on always providing the art of service, attention to detail, physical property maintenance and everything they affect. I was recruited to join the Four Seasons Las Colinas and became the Club and Spa Manager. Through the Four Seasons Resort and Club, I was introduced to various true luxury experiences which revolved around the importance of continual service improvement, grounds maintenance, food and beverage operations, employee development, housekeeping, cleanliness, and physical plant maintenance. The next big step came as the Managing Director of the Baylor-Tom Landry Center in Dallas, Texas, a private, non-profit facility dedicated to all things’ health, wellness and longevity. It was also the official practice facility of the Dallas Mavericks. The Managing Director position opened the doors for The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa. That journey began as the General Manager, then transitioned to Regional Director overseeing their Health Clubs, Spas and Golf Clubs. The Houstonian eventually elevated my position and vision to the full-time responsibilities of their Executive Vice-President of Hospitality.
After The Houstonian, came the opportunity to join the executive leadership team for Life Time where I built three luxury fitness country clubs and oversaw the Houston-area Health Clubs for Life Time. My work at Life Time was noticed by The Greenway High-rise Board which in turn recruited me to become their General Manager. The Greenway is considered one of Houston’s original High-Rise Communities, with 381-units split into two towers and a 60-floor community. I consider myself very fortunate. All the highly acclaimed 5-Star properties I have worked for have seasoned me to be the person, leader and manager I am today. I will take the valuable training and development from each property and apply them all to improve the Four-Leaf Towers Community.
One of my proudest accomplishments is my son Parker. He has a passion for people, for life that just lights up my day. He attended Katy Taylor High School, and I watched him go on to play colligate football for Georgia State University. I of course would not be the man I am today without the love and support of my wife, Tasha. In work and in life, she is my best friend, motivator, encourager, accountability partner and more.
I know where I have been, but I also know where I plan to stay. Houston will be my home for many years to come; so, my personal time is spent giving back to the Houston Community which means participating in various boards. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Periwinkle Foundation, and The MS Society to name a few. I lead the security team at my church, Hope City and balance it all by venturing outdoors to hunt, hike, and camp. I also love working out, traveling, and taking long rides on Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Leading a High-Rise Luxury Condominium Complex requires a dedicated approach to Leadership. I plan on focusing on two main objectives at the Four-Leaf Towers. First, to deliver a service experience beyond compare and secondly, to maintain the property and its amenities at a “like new” standard at all times. To deliver these, I will work with the Residents and the Board, to always be highly visible and available. I will listen and act upon the Residents needs then work with the employees to exceed the resident’s expectations. Our focus will be to provide a safe, welcoming community for all our Four-Leaf Towers Residents.
It is an honor and privilege to serve as General Manager for the Four-Leaf Towers Community. The warmth, charm and strong character at Four-Leaf Towers is known to be second to none. I look forward to providing many years of service and in turn, generating a lot of happy and memorable moments for our Four-Leaf Towers Family!
